ForeverQR runs this website.

2. Data we use

Static QR generation

Static QR content (for example Website, PDF, Wi-Fi, vCard, and Text presets) is generated in your browser. We do not need an account and we do not store that static content on our servers to create the code.

Dynamic QR records

For dynamic QR links, we store the short code, destination URL, a secure hash of the private edit token, and created/updated timestamps so redirects and updates work.

Dynamic scan insights (aggregated)

For dynamic QR links, we also store aggregate scan counters (total scans, recent daily counts, country totals, and device-type totals such as mobile/desktop/tablet/bot). These insights are aggregate and are shown in the manage page.

Security and abuse prevention

We use technical security controls, including request throttling and temporary rate limits, to protect the service from abuse and suspicious spikes.

Preferences

We store cookie and accessibility choices in your browser so your settings are remembered.

3. Why we use this data

We use data to run the QR service, keep dynamic links working, provide aggregate scan insights, block disallowed destinations, and keep the platform secure and reliable.

4. Cookies, analytics, and ads

Essential storage is always on for core features. Optional analytics (Google Analytics, if enabled) and advertising (Google AdSense) are off by default and only run after your consent. You can change this any time in Cookie settings.

5. Sharing with providers

We use service providers for hosting, data storage, bot protection, and (if consented) analytics/ads. They process data only as needed to provide those services.

6. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where required, appropriate transfer safeguards are used.

7. Retention

Dynamic QR records and aggregate scan counters are retained while links remain active and as needed for service integrity and security. Cookie preferences remain until changed or browser storage is cleared.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you can request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal data, and you can withdraw optional consent at any time. For formal requests, use /contact.
